The Classic Canyons
Guided float trip. Spectacular river canyon. Comfortable ger camps. Excellent fishing. Every season, we establish a string of luxury ger (yurt) camps along the entire river’s canyon section. The camps provide access to (and protect) nearly one-hundred and fifty miles (250 kms) of river. Carved through limestone and granite, the valley is flanked by magnificent cliffs and rock pinnacles. Each traditional ger camp is well-appointed with beds, linens, wood burning stoves, and a hot shower.
We explore a new stretch of productive river daily. Depending upon the week, guests fish from either guided inflatable drift boats or rafts with fly fishing frames. The boats have plenty of storage space for spare rods, camera gear, snack boxes, drinks and other necessities. There are very healthy taimen and trout populations. Lunch is served stream side.
The trip is supported by a team of very experienced cooks, camp staff, and guides. Gear boats transport everything we need for the week. When you float into camp, everything is waiting for you. The drinks are cold, the fires are warm, and the food is delicious. The next morning, you get up, have a great breakfast, jump in the boat, and do it all over again.
Each departure is limited to four or six anglers. This is a great trip for a group of friends or a wonderful family adventure.

The Fish Mongolia operation is one of the slickest float trips any of us have experienced. To find fish of this size living in such an incredibly beautiful river is mind blowing.
